New Kahuis

On Monday the 23/9/19 our new Kahuis got finished.There are three of them at the moment there are going to be five when there are more kids at Hornby high.The three that are built they are still putting the finishing touch's in.But the people that are put the finishing touch's in are allowing us to work in them well they finish. The three Kahuis are called Mohua, Riroriro, and Tieke. These magnificent buildings toke two years to build and you can tell that they toke that long because it looks so modern.


When I walked into the new buildings I saw lots of colour, furniture, it was still in a faze where its still having its finishing touch's. The walls a roof have this material in it that makes sound quieter. It has three TV's that have colour changing lights on the back of them.


When I walked into the new buildings I thought that these buildings where amazing because it has lots of colour, and space.

With bag one there was a small amount of cycling.

With bag 1 there was a small amount of water left over.

With bag two there was a small amount of cycling.

With bag two there was a small amount of water left over.

The normal water cycle had smaller drop lets then the water cycle with acid.

So in conclusion the water cycle had more drop lets but scored the same as the water cycle with out acid.

Hypothesis: I think that black will attract the most heat because black makes you sweat
more then silver and withe.

Steps

1.  Get the materials,
2.  Set the materials up like this ↓ (Picture)
3.  Every 15 minutes (for three 15 minute intervals), check the temperatures of the water and record them.
4.  Write your conclusion to show which colour cup was the hotties
5.   then do the rest of your conclusion
6. Show a teacher

Findings: My group found that the black was always a bit hotter then the silver and white cups

Ella West Visit

Today in period one we went to the auditorium to have a talk with the writer of the books Night Vision, Rain Fall and more great books. Ella west owns a sheep farm just outside of  Dunedin.Ella west has a pet dog named Jim , and one son. Ella West has made six books that have been published.Ella west try's  to get at lest 1000 words a day when shes writing a book but all up she try's to get 50,000 words in one book.

Her book Night Vision is about a girl that has a disorder where if shes in the sun light she starts to burn.She go's out at night with night vision goggles and see's a car that is on fire.The fire is to bright in  the night vision goggles so she takes them of and thinks what if I get seen so she runs back and hides in the bush's.

Her book Rain Fall is about the coal mines along the west coast and how people lost there jobs. Some family's that lost the Dad  in the family also lost money that they need to pay the bills and get food. In the story a dad worked on the coal trains.The coal trains transport coal form place to place. People call coal Black Gold.
